Studies show that a significant percentage of college students struggle to recall coursework from previous semesters, hindering their ability to build on acquired knowledge and achieve academic success. LiquidPortfolio Resume, an innovative AI powered platform, addresses this challenge by creating a dynamic archive of student materials and facilitating easy retrieval of specific concepts or reviewing personal academic resources using intuitive natural language queries. Leveraging a Large Language Model (LLM) and following the AI lifecycle, we developed a model to unlock the potential of student coursework and empower continuous learning.
LiquidPortfolio Resume empowers students with a dynamic, AI assisted platform to streamline the organization, storage, and retrieval of academic
materials from previous semesters. By maintaining a comprehensive archive
with intuitive search capabilities, our service enhances learning continuity and
transforms traditional academic portfolios into versatile tools for ongoing
student success.
Our project addresses the challenge of retaining and accessing past coursework by developing a user centric, AI powered platform named LiquidPortfolio Resume.
We strategically employed two key technologies:
Voiceflow
This robust tool facilitated the creation of a conversational AI assistant, enabling students to interact with the platform through natural language queries.
ChatDash platform: This user friendly interface provides a seamless experience for uploading, managing, and retrieving academic materials.

Our methodology leverages an LLM to address student difficulty recalling past coursework.
• Data Collection: Students are encouraged to upload their academic materials such as syllabi, electronic textbooks, essays, and homework assignments. This centralization is crucial for building a comprehensive database that can be
referenced in the future.
• AI Powered Analysis: Once the data is collected, our LLM steps in to analyze the contents. This includes employing Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to extract key information, concepts, and themes from the
uploaded documents. This analysis aids in creating a rich, searchable repository
of academic materials.
• Intelligent Retrieval System: The AI leverages its understanding of the data to facilitate an intelligent retrieval system. Students can query the system in natural language to find specific topics or review materials related to their
current studies or for exam preparation.
• Continual Learning and Adaptation: Our AI model continuously learns from new data and student interactions. For example, the AI can identify frequently searched topics and prioritize them in retrieval results. This ongoing learning
process allows the AI to become more precise in understanding student needs, improving the relevance and accuracy of the information retrieved.
• User Interface and Experience: We focus on a user friendly interface that allows students to easily interact with the AI, manage their documents, and retrieve needed information without technical hurdles. The interface supports
functionalities like natural language search and document management features, ensuring a seamless user experience. By leveraging the capabilities of an LLM, our methodology not only solves the problem of recalling past coursework but also enhances the academic experience by making learning cumulative and contextually enriched.
LiquidPortfolio Resume empowers students with a dynamic, AI assisted platform to overcome challenges in recalling and utilizing past coursework. By seamlessly integrating ChatGPT 4.0, we've significantly enhanced the platform's retrieval capabilities, allowing
students to efficiently access and leverage their academic knowledge. Our findings suggest that richer data inputs lead to improved performance, highlighting the value of comprehensive knowledge bases. Looking ahead, we plan to expand features and functionalities while prioritizing responsible and ethical development to ensure LiquidPortfolio Resume remains a valuable and secure tool for lifelong learning success.
